8th Annual Gumbo Throwdown

We are proud to announce First City Bank's 8th Annual Gumbo Throwdown! This highly anticipated event takes place on Thursday, March 7th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm throughout the First City Bank of Florida in Fort Walton Beach.

Guests will pay $10 in advance, or $15 at the door, per person for entry with free admission for children 12 and under. Attendees will enjoy two hours of unlimited tastes of eight of the Emerald Coast's most creative and innovative Gumbo recipes, crafted and served by the finest restaurants on the Emerald Coast. Guests will also enjoy beer and wine, live music, a Mardi Gras themed photo booth, exciting raffle/door prizes, themed drinks and dessert items, ONE vote for the People's Choice Award and so much more. We are anticipating 300 to 350 guests of all age ranges to attend.

Judging for first place Gumbo will be made by a panel of select food critics and local celebrities. Gumbos will be judged on most delicious and most creative. There will also be a highly coveted 1st, 2nd and 3rd place People's Choice Award.

We are proud to announce proceeds from The 8th Annual Gumbo Throwdown will benefit Fresh Start For Children & Families. Fresh Start shares love and compassion through a comprehensive, educational, vocational and economic housing program to help homeless families achieve self-sufficiency.

We have lots of great folks, but because we are SO blessed with donations and shoppers we need MORE friendly people! More cashiers, more donation sorters, delivery drivers, etc. If you have time, energy, and a smile we can use you!
