Movers for Moms

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fort Walton's Movers for Moms® donation drive wraps up this week. Donations collected since February for Fresh Start for Children and Families will be delivered Thursday, May 09, 2019, at 5 p.m. to Fresh Start's Family Center, 8 Bobolink Street, NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fort Walton is spending the week collecting any final community donations and preparing the donations for Fresh Start.

"This is our largest charitable event of the year," said Sean Wise, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fort Walton Franchisee.

"We're grateful to have the opportunity to coordinate this and support Fresh Start and local mothers in need. Our goal is to renew hope and rebuild lives for children and families," said Mary Wilson, Executive Director for Fresh Start for Children and Families.

"The primary focus is helping families achieve long-term self-sufficiency through a nine-month residential and educational program. We're so grateful to partner with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® for Movers for Moms to help us achieve that."

To ensure moms in crisis receive the love and appreciation they deserve this Mother's Day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Fort Walton is hosting its Movers for Moms® collection drive to provide critical gifts to local women staying in community shelters this spring. This year, the Fort Walton moving company is working with local schools and businesses to collect essential care and comfort items for women at Fort Walton's Fresh Start for Children and Families.

"Our goal is simple: celebrate Moms this Mother's Day," said Lisa Nixon Mabry, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Panama City Marketing Director. "These organizations are the heart of our community and we're happy to help make these moms feel special for Mother's Day." This spring marks the 12th anniversary of Movers for Moms®. Since its introduction, the program has expanded nationally to 41 states and more than 300 franchises. Last year was the program's most successful year to-date, with more than 300,000 items collected for donation to hundreds of shelters across the country.

This year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®'s goal was to collect more than 310,000 items for moms in need across the country.
